Redefining the Food System
The current food system is fundamentally flawed, with the majority of Colorado’s produce being shipped out of state, leaving only 2% consumed locally. Small producers, driven by a love for the land, face significant challenges including lack of local distribution and processing facilities, and competition with large-scale, subsidized agriculture.
OUR APPROACH
We believe in shifting focus from commodified food products to the health of the soil.
By investing in regenerative farming practices, we prioritize the land and its natural systems. Our Soil Stewards integrate animals and plants to enhance soil health, water retention, and biodiversity, transforming farming into a holistic service that supports the entire ecosystem.
Dividends: The Gift of Regeneration
Similar in structure to a herdshare, meatshare, or CSA, but this is a Soil Share.
Soil Shares give back a little bit of everything healthy soil produces - like nutrient-dense food, healthy communities, and a thriving planet.
Our Shareholders put the emphasis on the ecological service provided by Soil Stewards, rather than the commodification of food as a product.
